Pastor Russell Harbaugh and family moved here March 4th, 2007 to be the current pastor here at Aurora Church of the Nazarene.  Pastor Russ graduated from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO in June of 2006.  He currently holds a degree in Pastoral Ministries, Bible/Theology and Christian Counseling.  Pastor Russ has been married to Charyl since 1991 and they have two boys, Daniel (12), and Brandon (10).  This is Pastor Russ' first church and he is excited to have the opportunity to serve such a great group of people and live in this wonderful community.  It is pastor Russ' passion to not only serve this local church but to also be a friend and a good neighbor to all those who call Aurora home.  Pastor Russ loves all kinds of sports and family activities as well as a good movie, board game, book, etc. :-)  You will find Pastor Russ at most local ball games, on the front row of Friday night Drive-in movies and on any given day Substitute teaching at any one of the local schools. Pastor Russ began a second full-time Job in Nov 2009 as a Homeless Prevention Housing Specialist at OACAC (Ozark Area Community Action Corporation).  He is also a regular on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and of course Fantasy Football where he finished in the bottom three this year! Pastor Russ has continued his passion for learning by training in Pre-marital counseling through Life Innovations Prepare/Enrich program, taking 36 hours of Suicide hotline training, and taking classes in Hospice care.  You can read some of his thoughts by clicking on "PASTOR'S BLOG".  (By the way, this picture was probably the last time he was caught in a suit! But you can catch him in his red t-shirt, atempting to play church league basketball in Jan and Feb of each year :-)
